Cricket Wireless、プリペイド携帯会社（アメリカ）、iPhone 4/4Sを2012年6月22日から発売
アメリカのプリペイド携帯会社であるCricket Wirelessは、2012年6月22日からiPhone 4 8GBを$399.99（消費税別）で、iPhone 4S 16GBを$499.99（消費税別）で発売します。

これまでAT&TにSIMロックされたiPhoneは、非公式にAT&TのプリペイドSIMであるGoPhone SIMや、公式にはAT&TのMVNOであるH2O Wireless、Net10、StraightTalk、Airvoice Wireless、RedpocketなどのプリペイドSIMで使用できました。
また、SIMフリーのiPhoneは速度が2G速度しか得られませんが、T-Mobile USAのプリペイドSIM、および、T-Mobile USAのMVNOであるSimpleMobileやNet10、StraightTalkのプリペイドSIMが使用できました、
しかし、Cricket社はアメリカのプリペイド携帯会社としては正式に、初めてiPhoneの販売そのものを提供します。
Cricket Wireless （Leap Wirelessの部門）は米国中西部に自社基地局も一部ありますが、全米的にはSprintの電波を使用したローミング契約をSprint社と交わしています。
注意：通話・テキストはローミングパートナーのSprintの電波地域でも可能だと思いますが、「データ使い放題（2.3GBまで）」はCricketのネイティブカバレッジエリアだけではないか、という記事もあります。

iPhone availability appears to be limited to areas where Cricket has native 1900 Mhz (PCS) services. There’s a list on the Cricket site of the 65 markets where the iPhone will be available June 22. Many are smaller cities and towns but there are some large cities listed including Denver, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Houston, Salt Lake City and Kansas City.
したがって、Cricket Wirelessが発売するiPhone 4はCDMA2000バージョンでSIMスロットが無いでしょう。
また、同社が発売予定のiPhone 4SはCDMA2000/GSM/W-CDMA ３モードのiPhone 4Sで、Sprint／Verizon／KDDI au用のモデルと同系列のものでしょう。
Cricketのプリペイドプランは、月$55で「通話、テキスト、データ」使い放題プランが、このiPhoneに適用されます。（ただし、月2.3GB以上のデータ使用は、データの使用が停止されることがあります。・・・要するに、データは月2.3GBまで。）
ポストペイド２年契約、および、SIMフリー（ポストペイド契約の束縛無し）と、今回のCricket社のiPhoneの価格を比較すると・・・

したがって、当然、Cricket販売のiPhoneはSIMロックされているでしょう。
同社のiPhone 4SのSIMロック解除の条件、および、SIMロック解除するかどうかは、発表されていません。
Cricket Wirelessは家電量販店BestBuyやRadio Shack、ディスカウント百貨店TargetやWalmartで発売されているほか、主要都市にはCricket Wirelessのショップがあります。
わたしはクレジットカードも持っていないし持つ予定もありません。CricketでiPhoneを買ってプリペイドでの契約をするつもりです。しかし、支払い方法がわかりません。クレジットカードだけなので

Visit an Authorized Payment Location to pay a bill or unsuspend/unhotline service in 30 minutes or less (available 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time). Most Authorized Payment Locations only accept cash payments. Please have your Cricket phone number when you pay your bill in person. Payment subject to $3 processing fee. Find an Authorized Payment Location near you.

If payment is not received by the due date, your phone service will be suspended and you may be charged a $10 reinstatement fee if you would like to continue your service.
要するに、クレジットカード以外には、
● オンラインまたは携帯から直接デビットカードか、ATMカードで支払う
● 小切手（チェック）郵送、
● オンラインまたは端末から、チェッキングアカウントの口座情報を入力して、そこから直接支払う、
● Cricketショップで現金・小切手（チェック）・デビットカード・クレジットカードで支払う、
● WalmartなどでCricketのトップアップカードを現金/クレジットカード/デビットカード/小切手（チェック）などで買って、その番号をオンラインか直接携帯から入力して支払う。
